The brief

ZTE needed to launch a secure cloud-PC product online, without a physical audience or stage. The launch had to look and feel like a broadcast event — a presenter delivering to camera inside a designed environment — while running live and holding to the security expectations of an enterprise product reveal.

What we did

We delivered the launch from a virtual studio using MR real-time compositing, placing the presenter inside a fully virtual set as they spoke. Rather than a green-screen key finished later, the environment was composited live, so the presenter could reference product visuals and set elements in real time and the director cut a finished picture as it happened.

Our virtual-studio operators built and lit the digital set to match the product's brand, aligning virtual lighting with the physical lighting on the presenter so the composite held together convincingly. Live-streaming engineers carried a stable, secure feed to the online audience, with redundant paths ready in case any single link faltered. We rehearsed the full run with the presenter — camera positions, timing and interaction with the virtual elements — so the live broadcast played as a confident, continuous event rather than a series of cues. The same production was recorded as a master for on-demand use after the launch.

The result

A polished online launch that placed the presenter inside a fully virtual set in real time and streamed it live to a global audience. The virtual studio gave the brand a broadcast-grade product reveal with no physical stage — a secure, self-contained event that looked every bit as considered as an in-person keynote. It also gave the brand a repeatable model: a virtual-set workflow it can return to for future launches without the cost and logistics of building a physical stage each time.
