A Chinese production company built for international clients

BTVS Production is the international brand of Beijing Blue Light Shadow Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. (北京蓝色光影文化传播有限公司), a video production and live streaming company headquartered in Beijing and working across China since 2009.

We exist because of a specific, recurring problem: international teams need broadcast-standard filming and streaming in China, but sourcing it usually means either flying a crew in — expensive, slow, and visa-dependent — or briefing a local vendor through translation and hoping the result matches the brief. Neither works well under event pressure.

Our answer is a bilingual production operation. Every project runs with an English-speaking producer as the client's single point of contact, while the crew works in Chinese on the ground. Briefs, call sheets, quotes, contracts and invoices are all in English; venue negotiations, permits and logistics all happen in Chinese. Both sides get a production process in their own language.

What we do

Multi-camera event live streaming (including simultaneous distribution to Chinese and international platforms), corporate video production, camera crews and fixers for visiting productions, conference and hybrid event production, factory and industrial filming, and medical & healthcare productions.

BTVS Production provides vetted bilingual camera crews in China, including Directors of Photography, camera operators, sound recordists, drone operators, production assistants and English-speaking fixers in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou and other major Chinese cities.
